It should be no surprise that \u2018Swifties\u2019 are enamored of their idol\u2019s speeches. Swift is a celebrated songwriter who applies her remarkable storytelling skills and knowledge of rhetorical devices to write engaging speeches.<\/p>\n

Vivid metaphors<\/h2>\n

Swift uses evocative metaphors in her songs to create vivid mental pictures. For example, In \u201cLove Story,\u201d she compares a relationship to the forbidden love between Shakespeare\u2019s Romeo and Juliet. \u201cRomeo take me somewhere we can be alone\u2026you\u2019ll be the prince and I\u2019ll be the princess.\u201d<\/p>\n
