Unlike quiet quitters, \u201cloud quitters\u201d are acting out their unhappiness on their way out.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThese employees take actions that directly harm the organization, undercutting its goals and opposing its leaders,\u201d Gallup explained. For example, by bad-mouthing their boss on LinkedIn before swiftly handing in their notice.<\/p>\n<p>What\u2019s more, Gallup examined data from over 122,416 workers and found that around 18% of employees worldwide (about one in five) are doing exactly that\u2014\u201dloudly\u201d tossing in the towel.\u00a0<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Loud quitters are disrupting the company<\/h2>\n<p>Whereas \u201cquiet quitters\u201d silent disengagement can impact a company\u2019s culture in the long term, \u201cloud quitters\u201d are far more immediately dangerous.<\/p>\n<p>Not only are they dramatically quitting their jobs while vocalizing their negative sentiments about their former employer, but they\u2019re also dragging down those around them before they leave.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThey aren\u2019t just unhappy at work. They are resentful that their needs aren\u2019t being met and are acting out their unhappiness,\u201d Gallup noted. \u201cEvery day, these workers potentially undermine what their engaged coworkers accomplish.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The harmful actions of \u201cloud quitters\u201d has the ability to both disrupt and damage businesses: Those working for the firm may be impacted by the wave of detrimental distractions and increased turnover, meanwhile prospective new hires will undoubtedly see any derogatory online comments made by disgruntled workers.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>This behavior signals major organizational risk and should not be ignored by leaders, according to Gallup.
