If you\u2019d like to be featured, introduce yourself here.<\/em><\/p>\n<p class=\"dist__StyledText-sc-14098c7c-8 ceoswy\">Irina Katsnelson is the SVP of enterprise sales at the ad-tech company Nexxen, where she is focused on growing adoption of the company\u2019s demand-side platform (DSP). She\u2019s previously worked at companies including Viant Technology, Juice Mobile, News Corp, and Evolve Media.<\/p>\n<p class=\"dist__StyledText-sc-14098c7c-8 ceoswy\"><strong>Favorite project you\u2019ve worked on?<\/strong> I was once the first US hire at a startup and had the opportunity to build out an entire business from scratch. It was a crash course in every aspect of programmatic media\u2014sales, strategy, operations, partnerships, the like\u2014and it gave me a much deeper understanding of what clients want, as well as how to build a team that can deliver on that. It also involved introducing Programmatic Guaranteed to the market (before anyone was even talking about it). Years later, I had a similar opportunity, leading conversations around cookieless advertising well before it was a buzzword. There\u2019s truly nothing like that moment when it \u201cclicks\u201d for a client\u2014when they don\u2019t just understand, but lean in and embrace something new.<\/p>\n<p class=\"dist__StyledText-sc-14098c7c-8 ceoswy\"><strong>What\u2019s your favorite ad campaign?<\/strong> I\u2019ve always admired Apple\u2019s \u201cShot on iPhone\u201d campaign. It started in 2015 and is still running today, which says a lot about its impact. It\u2019s simple, yet powerful\u2014using real photos and videos from everyday people to prove the iPhone\u2019s camera quality. I\u2019m always drawn to authentic and scalable campaigns from an advertising perspective, and I love when people are turned into brand ambassadors. This is a great example of advertising that showcases the product while maintaining cultural relevance.<\/p>\n<div class=\"style__InlineSubscribeWrapper-sc-9b30af34-1 xBGLJ inline-subscribe\">\n<div id=\"inline-subscribe\" class=\"style__RoundedContainer-sc-bac6188c-0 jnRTsW\">\n<h5 class=\"inline-subscribe\">Get marketing news you&#8217;ll actually want to read<\/h5>\n<p class=\"inline-subscribe\">Marketing Brew informs marketing pros of the latest on brand strategy, social media, and ad tech via our weekday newsletter, virtual events, marketing conferences, and digital guides.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p class=\"dist__StyledText-sc-14098c7c-8 ceoswy\"><strong>One thing we can\u2019t guess from your LinkedIn profile: <\/strong>In addition to being an SVP, I\u2019m also a dance mom, soccer mom, basketball mom, tennis mom, etc., to my three children, ages six, nine, and 11. My home is often full of their friends as the unofficial neighborhood hub (yes, I\u2019m always coordinating carpools and playdates!).<\/p>\n<p class=\"dist__StyledText-sc-14098c7c-8 ceoswy\"><strong>What marketing trend are you most optimistic about? Least?<\/strong> I\u2019m most optimistic about the fact that brands are really holding advertising campaigns accountable for real-life results. There was a time when digital metrics were considered more important than actual business outcomes, but the industry has finally shifted its priorities in the right direction. I\u2019m curious to see how that will go even further with AI, especially as it plays into outcome-based measurement across every aspect of a campaign.<\/p>\n<p class=\"dist__StyledText-sc-14098c7c-8 ceoswy\">On the flip side, I\u2019m least optimistic about the increasing fragmentation of platforms and the reality that a few key players continue to dominate the space. There are other incredible platforms out there that are really attuned to clients\u2019 needs, and I hope they\u2019re soon given a greater piece of the proverbial pie in digital advertising.<\/p>\n<p class=\"dist__StyledText-sc-14098c7c-8 ceoswy\"><strong>What\u2019s one marketing-related podcast\/social account\/series you\u2019d recommend?<\/strong> <em>AdExchanger Talks<\/em> is one of my favorites, because it brings on leaders from every corner of the ecosystem\u2014from DSPs and agencies to publishers and even brand CMOs\u2014and the conversations go deeper than headlines.
