{"id":22073,"date":"2025-03-20T12:58:48","date_gmt":"2025-03-20T12:58:48","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/mysourcefunding.com\/?p=22073"},"modified":"2025-03-20T12:58:48","modified_gmt":"2025-03-20T12:58:48","slug":"uconn-women-duke-men-are-most-marketable-march-madness-teams-report","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mysourcefunding.com\/?p=22073","title":{"rendered":"UConn women, Duke men are most marketable March Madness teams: report"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><\/p>\n<div>\n<p class=\"dist__StyledText-sc-53b02a2b-8 hBxKva\">The March Madness rankings have been released, and not just the No. 1 seeds.<\/p>\n<p class=\"dist__StyledText-sc-53b02a2b-8 hBxKva\">The University of Connecticut Huskies, a No. 2 seed in this year\u2019s tournament, were the most marketable women\u2019s team, according to the NIL platform Out2Win.<\/p>\n<p class=\"dist__StyledText-sc-53b02a2b-8 hBxKva\">The team scored 96 out of 100, according to Out2Win\u2019s 2025 March Madness Athlete Marketability Report, which highlights the schools and athletes participating in this year\u2019s NCAA tournament that it has determined are especially marketable. The company determines a school\u2019s marketability based on the average score of its athletes, which is calculated by an algorithm that evaluates factors like performance of paid social media posts, engagement rates, and follower growth, according to CEO Jack Adler.<\/p>\n<p class=\"dist__StyledText-sc-53b02a2b-8 hBxKva\">On-court performance doesn\u2019t always correlate with marketing partnership potential, but while the majority of the most marketable teams in the men\u2019s and women\u2019s tournaments are No. 1 or No. 2 seeds, there were a couple of underdogs that Out2Win ranked as highly marketable.<\/p>\n<p class=\"dist__StyledText-sc-53b02a2b-8 hBxKva\"><strong>Stor(rs)-y time: <\/strong>In addition to topping the list of most marketable women\u2019s teams, the Huskies dominated the rankings of individual women basketball players based on Out2Win\u2019s marketability scores:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Paige Bueckers, the Huskies guard who\u2019s considered \u201ca lock\u201d as this year\u2019s No. 1 pick in the WNBA draft, led Out2Win\u2019s rankings with a score of 98.<\/li>\n<li>Fellow Huskies Azzi Fudd, KK Arnold, and Aubrey Griffin also made the top five.<\/li>\n<li>USC Trojans guard JuJu Watkins broke up the UConn cohort at No. 2, with a score of 96.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"dist__StyledText-sc-53b02a2b-8 hBxKva\">The only other team with multiple athletes in the top 10 was the University of South Carolina Gamecocks, last year\u2019s champs. Forward Chloe Kitts came in at No. 6 on the rankings, and guard MiLaysia Fulwiley was ranked No. 9.<\/p>\n<p class=\"dist__StyledText-sc-53b02a2b-8 hBxKva\">The No. 1-seeded Gamecocks were deemed Out2Win\u2019s second-most marketable team, followed by the No. 3 seed LSU Tigers; Tigers guard Flau\u2019jae Johnson was ranked No. 8 on the individual athletes list.<\/p>\n<div class=\"style__InlineSubscribeWrapper-sc-9efdcdad-1 iwvSXp inline-subscribe\">\n<div id=\"inline-subscribe\" class=\"style__RoundedContainer-sc-59d9816-0 hEwJGY\">\n<h5 class=\"inline-subscribe\">Get marketing news you&#8217;ll actually want to read<\/h5>\n<p class=\"inline-subscribe\">Marketing Brew informs marketing pros of the latest on brand strategy, social media, and ad tech via our weekday newsletter, virtual events, marketing conferences, and digital guides.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p class=\"dist__StyledText-sc-53b02a2b-8 hBxKva\"><strong>Devil-may-care:<\/strong> The Duke Blue Devils, a No. 1 seed and a favorite to win the championship this year, were the most marketable men\u2019s team, with a score of 94, according to the report.<\/p>\n<p class=\"dist__StyledText-sc-53b02a2b-8 hBxKva\">Duke star Cooper Flagg, the projected No. 1 pick in this year\u2019s NBA draft who\u2019s been out with an ankle injury, was the top men\u2019s basketball athlete, scoring a 95, and teammate Isaiah Evans also made the top five.<\/p>\n<p class=\"dist__StyledText-sc-53b02a2b-8 hBxKva\">The North Carolina Tar Heels were the second-most marketable men\u2019s basketball team, with a score of 92 and two players\u2014Ian Jackson and RJ Davis\u2014on the top 10 list. Though a top team from the mid \u201970s through the aughts, the Tar Heels are a No. 11 seed this year. The Michigan State Spartans, a No. 2 seed, took the third spot of the men\u2019s teams, with a marketability score of 90.<\/p>\n<p class=\"dist__StyledText-sc-53b02a2b-8 hBxKva\"><strong>Dealbook: <\/strong>During the 2024-25 season, the Ohio State Buckeyes had the most athlete brand deals on the men\u2019s side at 20, per the report, followed by the Florida Gulf Coast Eagles and the Tar Heels.
