{"id":21930,"date":"2025-01-31T06:01:12","date_gmt":"2025-01-31T06:01:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/mysourcefunding.com\/?p=21930"},"modified":"2025-01-31T06:01:17","modified_gmt":"2025-01-31T06:01:17","slug":"apple-tv-and-mls-announce-sunday-night-soccer-and-more-ahead-of-season","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mysourcefunding.com\/?p=21930","title":{"rendered":"Apple TV+ and MLS announce \u2018Sunday Night Soccer\u2019 and more ahead of season"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><\/p>\n<div>\n<p class=\"dist__StyledText-sc-31cb6c8c-8 eIOiAk\">Ahead of the kickoff of the 2025 Major League Soccer season on February 22, MLS and Apple TV+, the home of MLS Season Pass, are expanding their offerings and giving fans more ways to watch.<\/p>\n<p class=\"dist__StyledText-sc-31cb6c8c-8 eIOiAk\">As MLS Season Pass heads into its third year on Apple TV+, the streamer and the league announced additional programming, more fan experiences, and new distribution partnerships, including:<\/p>\n<p class=\"dist__StyledText-sc-31cb6c8c-8 eIOiAk\"><strong>Sunday Night Soccer:<\/strong> A new weekly show called <em>Sunday Night Soccer<\/em> will feature a select live game on Sunday evenings. Content will include pre- and postgame shows, graphics produced in both English and Spanish, and other production and studio content created using technology at its newly relocated production facility in Stamford, Connecticut.<\/p>\n<p class=\"dist__StyledText-sc-31cb6c8c-8 eIOiAk\">The first game of <em>Sunday Night Soccer<\/em> will feature the debut of San Diego FC, the latest team to join MLS\u2019s ranks.<\/p>\n<p class=\"dist__StyledText-sc-31cb6c8c-8 eIOiAk\"><strong>Expanded fan content inside and outside of the Apple ecosystem: <\/strong>A day before the MLS season kicks off, Apple TV+ will roll out the docuseries <em>Onside: Major League Soccer<\/em>, which will focus on highlights from the 2024 MLS season. Similar to last year, MLS content will also be available across Apple Podcasts, Apple Maps, Apple Music, and Apple Sports.<\/p>\n<p class=\"dist__StyledText-sc-31cb6c8c-8 eIOiAk\">Executives are also talking about ways to build more fan-created social content for MLS Season Pass by potentially bringing creators to its facility, Seth Bacon, MLS EVP of media, said.<\/p>\n<div class=\"style__InlineSubscribeWrapper-sc-9efdcdad-1 iwvSXp inline-subscribe\">\n<div id=\"inline-subscribe\" class=\"style__RoundedContainer-sc-59d9816-0 hEwJGY\">\n<h5 class=\"inline-subscribe\">Get marketing news you&#8217;ll actually want to read<\/h5>\n<p class=\"inline-subscribe\">Marketing Brew informs marketing pros of the latest on brand strategy, social media, and ad tech via our weekday newsletter, virtual events, marketing conferences, and digital guides.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p class=\"dist__StyledText-sc-31cb6c8c-8 eIOiAk\">\u201cWe\u2019re talking about what other shows can we do that will live on our social and digital channels, whether that\u2019s pre-pregame shows [or] midweek programming,\u201d he said during a press event this week.<\/p>\n<p class=\"dist__StyledText-sc-31cb6c8c-8 eIOiAk\"><strong>Partnerships with Comcast, DirecTV, and T-Mobile:<\/strong> Comcast Xfinity customers will be able to sign up for MLS Season Pass through Xfinity, and it will be available through the Xfinity Stream app, X1, Flex, and Xumo Stream Box for those subscribers. Comcast and Apple will also bring the live show <em>MLS 360<\/em> to Xfinity customers, even those who don\u2019t have an MLS Season Pass subscription. As for DirecTV, its residential customers will be able to buy a MLS Season Pass subscription through DirecTV.<\/p>\n<p class=\"dist__StyledText-sc-31cb6c8c-8 eIOiAk\">MLS Season Pass also inked a deal with T-Mobile to offer certain customers free access to the streaming package.
