{"id":21115,"date":"2024-04-24T18:10:56","date_gmt":"2024-04-24T18:10:56","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/mysourcefunding.com\/?p=21115"},"modified":"2024-04-24T18:10:57","modified_gmt":"2024-04-24T18:10:57","slug":"iheartmedia-deep-blue-introduce-womens-sports-centric-audio-platform","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mysourcefunding.com\/?p=21115","title":{"rendered":"IHeartMedia, Deep Blue introduce women\u2019s sports-centric audio platform"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><\/p>\n<div>\n<div class=\"style__InlineSubscribeWrapper-sc-b4979adf-1 fPIWfF\">\n<div class=\"style__Container-sc-6fdcc87e-0 style__RoundedContainer-sc-6c630ac0-0 iTWzCH wGFGp\">\n<h5 class=\"dist__StyledText-sc-2252f3c6-12 fxopsA inline-subscribe\">Get marketing news you&#8217;ll actually want to read<\/h5>\n<p class=\"dist__StyledText-sc-2252f3c6-12 bGZYqp inline-subscribe\">Marketing Brew informs marketing pros of the latest on brand strategy, social media, and ad tech via our weekday newsletter, virtual events, marketing conferences, and digital guides.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p class=\"dist__StyledText-sc-2252f3c6-12 bEespx\">Deep Blue Sports + Entertainment, a firm dedicated to helping brands build women\u2019s sports marketing strategies, is partnering with iHeartMedia to create an audio platform exclusively for women\u2019s sports content.<\/p>\n<p class=\"dist__StyledText-sc-2252f3c6-12 bEespx\">The platform, called the Women\u2019s Sports Audio Network, will include ad-supported content like podcasts and daily sports coverage that will be available on podcast platforms and on iHeart\u2019s broadcast and digital channels, according to a joint press release from iHeart and Deep Blue.<\/p>\n<p class=\"dist__StyledText-sc-2252f3c6-12 bEespx\">It\u2019s set to go live in a couple of months, Deep Blue founder and CEO Laura Correnti said when she announced the partnership at Deep Blue and Axios\u2019s Business of Women\u2019s Sports Summit on Tuesday in New York.<\/p>\n<p class=\"dist__StyledText-sc-2252f3c6-12 bEespx\">\u201cWhen you\u2019re driving your kids to school, when you\u2019re going to the mall on the weekends, you\u2019re going to just start hearing, \u2018Today in women\u2019s sports,\u201d iHeart CMO Gayle Troberman said at the summit. \u201cEvery day, across every sport, we\u2019re going to scale access.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"dist__StyledText-sc-2252f3c6-12 bEespx\">The new platform comes at a time when brand and audience interest in women\u2019s sports is climbing, and while a majority of sports fans in general are listening to audio content like sports podcasts. There remains, however, a lack of women hosts and women\u2019s sports-focused content among the top sports podcasts.<\/p>\n<p class=\"dist__StyledText-sc-2252f3c6-12 bEespx\">The Women\u2019s Sports Audio Network aims to help close that gap. It will include content from WNBA legend Sheryl Swoopes and ESPN sports reporter Sarah Spain, the latter of whom will host a daily show spanning news, stats, and interviews. Spain\u2019s show will be among the first to roll out with the network, Troberman said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"dist__StyledText-sc-2252f3c6-12 bEespx\">Across shows, the programming will focus on a wide range of sports year-round and highlight stories of athletes both on and off the field.
